Website under construction - pardon the mess!

Website changes. Welcome to my new site. The basics are live, but I still have some blog-related work to finish. It may not be as fancy as my old site, and the change certainly wasn't on this summer's to-do list. But for three weeks in June I had no ability to add or edit my website.
After years of paying for website hosting (and associated tech support) with that auto-debit that hits the credit card annually, it occurred to me that I want to keep things simple for whoever ends up managing my online presence. Not to be morbid, but it IS inevitable.
Blogger?
So I'm moving here, to Blogger, a free and fairly reliable platform. Yes, it has limitations, but Google-willing, it will stay free and be around for a millennia. (Because I'm sure someone, somewhere will be looking at my fascinating posts, right?)
The old site had plugins that needed updating and other things that broke every now & then. That shouldn't be an issue here. The overseer can just let it sit.
The migration was not straightforward though some articles and youtube.com videos claimed it was. Perhaps if I was more techie, it might have been: a straight export-from-the-old/import -to-the-new. Ha! Didn't happen.

I'll spare you the details but ultimately I decided not to import my entire blog - close to 500 posts going back to 2011! The oldest are compiled by year into PDFs (coming soon), with a few published separately. I couldn't let all that effort go to waste.
